Maintenance & Muted Modes
Planning server upgrades where you already know that some of your alarms will go off? Add Overrides for your team’s whole on-call calendar. Don't spam your team with false positive alerts. Instead, select “Maintenance” mode and prevent incident creation during the override period. Or choose 'Muted' to allow incident creation but suppress sending notifications to any team members.

Optimize Your Team’s On-Call Scheduling
🗓️ On-Call Schedules
Schedules form the foundation of your team’s on-call calendar. By setting up distinct schedules for various days and times throughout the week, you can ensure that the on-call responsibilities are evenly distributed among team members.
🔁 On-Call Rotations
Give team members well deserved breaks. Add rotations to your on-call schedules. Customize rotation frequencies and handoff times.
⬇️ Escalation Policies
Make you on-call calendar more resilient. Use escalations to automatically inform additional team members if an issue wasn’t addressed after a certain time. You can also use escalations to build a “safety net”, preparing for the unexpected.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can All Quiet consider my team’s vacation plan?
Yes. Team members can log planned absences, and All Quiet automatically adjusts schedules or alerts to avoid conflicts.
How can team members temporarily swap or cover shifts?
Overrides let teammates easily trade on-call shifts without disrupting rotations or escalation rules. All Quiet’s overrides help your team keep their flexibility and ensure there’s always a team member on-call.
Do overrides affect escalation policies or notifications?
All updates are reflected instantly, so alerts are always sent to the correct, current on-call person. If someone is absent on short notice, our safety net feature ensures that higher escalation tiers fill up empty spots in the rotation.
Can I track the override history for fair distribution of on-call hours?
Yes. All Quiet maintains a full audit trail so you can analyze participation and ensure fairness. You can also extract each team member's shifts via our on-call report or our public API.
Can All Quiet handle overrides for planned maintenance or system downtime?
Yes. All Quiet allows teams to schedule overrides for planned maintenance windows or system downtime. During these periods, alerts can be temporarily paused ensuring that maintenance activities do not trigger unnecessary notifications while keeping critical coverage intact. This feature helps teams maintain operational reliability without unnecessary noise during planned maintenance.
