Webhook

The Grafana webhook integration forwards Grafana alerts to your own endpoint through All Quiet. A Grafana webhook contact point sends alerts to All Quiet. All Quiet creates an incident, notifies the on-call engineer, escalates if nobody responds and sends a request to your endpoint for each incident event. You define the method, URL, headers and body with a template.

How the Grafana Webhook integration works

  1. 1

In All Quiet, open Inbound Integrations, click + Create, choose Grafana as the type, select a team and copy the webhook URL.

  2. 2

In Grafana, go to Alerting, then Contact points, and click Add contact point. Enter a name, set the integration to Webhook, paste the All Quiet URL, click Test and then Save contact point.

  3. 3

Go to Alerting, then Notification policies, click Edit on the policy you want, select the new contact point and click Update policy.

  4. 4

In All Quiet, open the Grafana integration and click Reload to load recent payloads. Select one to check how it maps to an incident.

  5. 5

Open Outbound Integrations, click + Create, choose Webhook and pick a forwarding setting. In the template section, write a Handlebars template for the method, URL, headers and body, and optionally add a signing secret.

  6. 6

Click Trigger Dummy Request and check the request and response under Latest Requests.

What you get

  • Repeated Grafana alerts grouped into one incident
  • Requests you define: method, URL, headers and body
  • On-call and escalation before anything is forwarded

Use cases

Grafana alerts into an internal system.

Your endpoint receives a request when the incident opens and for each later event, so an internal tool tracks the incident from start to resolution without a custom Grafana integration.

Self-hosted and Grafana Cloud alike.

Both use Grafana's webhook contact point, so the same All Quiet setup works whichever Grafana you run, and switching later does not change the outbound side.

Your endpoint can answer back.

With incident updates enabled in the template, your endpoint can return a patch response that updates the incident in All Quiet, for example after an automated check.

FAQ

How do I connect Grafana to Webhook?

Create an inbound integration for Grafana in All Quiet and add its webhook URL in Grafana. Then create an outbound integration for Webhook. The Grafana setup guide and the Webhook setup guide on docs.allquiet.app walk through each step.

What does All Quiet add between Grafana and Webhook?

All Quiet turns each Grafana alert into an incident, notifies the engineer on call, escalates if nobody responds and keeps a record of the incident. Webhook receives the incident with that context.

Can I try the Grafana Webhook integration for free?

Yes. Start a free trial of All Quiet and connect Grafana and Webhook during the trial.

Where is my data hosted?

All Quiet is a European incident management platform: built in Berlin, with selectable EU data residency in Frankfurt, GDPR compliance, and ISO 27001 certification. Alert data for EU customers is stored and processed in Frankfurt. That matters for on-call specifically because alert and escalation data routinely contains production system details.

Which Grafana contact point do I use?

The Webhook integration type, under Alerting, Contact points. Grafana documents it for Grafana Cloud, Grafana Enterprise and open source Grafana. A notification policy that points at this contact point decides which alerts reach All Quiet.

Can my endpoint update the incident in All Quiet?

Yes. Add "enableIncidentUpdates": true to the outbound webhook template and have your endpoint return a valid patch response. All Quiet then applies the update to the incident. Requests can be signed with HMAC-SHA256 so your endpoint can verify where they came from.
